The only parts I like:
It doesn't matter if you love him, or capital H-I-M. [it kind of starts off the song by opening it as, this is for you whether you're religious or not, so interpret the God part as you will]
I kind of like the mother part. It's cheesy but that comes with the turf when you're doing an inspirational anthem. It puts an image in my mind and I like that she's telling a story.
The part about the subway kids is cool, it connotes an image of NYC kids who get around to their clubs and bars via subway, and it stands for her too.
The rest don't do it for me
