Grenade was #1 in the UK with 150k copies and Hold It Against Me wasn't released there last week. There are other countries like Austria & Germany where HIAM hasn't been released yet.

Of course there is! The single's airplay will only get strong and the availability of the song will stabilize once the video and promo kicks in. All her #1's never debut at the top sport, but eventually found their ways to the top and this will be no exception.

Cheer up! I was hoping for #1 as well, but things didn't work out. I don't even think the UK sales were factored much into the tally because of how late in the tracking period it was released.

Still Grenade only sold 219K in the US. HIAM sold almost 200K more. Austria & Germany do not sell as much music compared to the US or UK.
