The singer's new tune 'Hold it Against Me' has already broken records this week with 4,071 plays - the highest detections total by a debuting title in the chart's 18-year history.

Her first single from her forthcoming ninth album ties with Madonna's 'Frozen' for second-highest launch in the list's archives.

The track received airplay on all 130 reporting stations in the chart's tracking week (10.01.11 to 16.01.11) which translates to 36.4 million listener impressions.- CONTACT MUSIC

If they do the week by week iTunes countdown, it'll be good but then the second single is going to be hurt by HIAM for being released so close to the lead single. Womanizer and Circus had a little over 2 months and the former hurt the latter from spending weeks in the top ten. I'm just so

It will practically be the same time frame, plus considering "HIAM" is already at 50 million A.I., it will peak around 100 million by the end of February...leaving time for them to release the 2nd single right before the album.

Also "Circus" didn't spend as much time in the Top 10 because of the fact that it didn't have airplay right out of the bat, and there was a lot of competition by that time keeping it out. "Womanizer" didn't hurt it.

Womanizer hurt Circus. Had Womanizer ended it's run, it would have been fine. while Circus was lingering outside the top ten, Womanizer was still in it. We don't know if HIAM will peak at 100, it could go higher. Sales will still be high around late February, mid March because it'll be getting the sales from the video promo.

Like I said, "Circus" airplay was too low for it to maintain a spot in the Top 10. It was selling more than "Womanizer" weekly, the difference was "Womanizer" had airplay to keep it in the Top 10 reaches. "Circus" had to endure "Just Dance", "Single Ladies", two T.I. songs, two Kanye West songs, and then had to deal with moving up radio through the Holiday Freeze, and the fact it had no promo or the video to help it out later in its run.

it wouldn't have had those problems, if Womanizer would have been dead.

It was still selling more than "Womanizer", and all of those songs by artists with major rhythmic and/or Urban support would have still existed. So no, shut up now.

 ^ Why do you bother?
I'm trying to imagine the new choreography but I can't. I can imagine the breakdown and the last chorus, but other than that it's a little complicated to build choreo for the song. Brian better BRING it.

+ I want nude Britney in the video. IDGAF about parents complaining about Britney Spears' new revealing music video. Show that sexy skin, Brit.

Britney Breaks Australian Radio Airplay Record

Britney continues to break records around the world with her latest single Hold It Against Me, and can now add the Biggest Spincrease in Australian Airplay chart history to that list.

According to Mediabase Australia, Britney increased radio play by a massive 313.9% and jumped from number 94 to number 10 this week. Her spins were at 476 – making a difference of 361 compared to last week.

This breaks the last record held by Australia’s favourite American P!nk, who increased by 304.5% back in August 2008 with So What!

Britney is expected to rise slightly next week on the official ARIA chart after her Top Ten debut this week.
