Its always like this with the UK. They like for songs to build up with airplay then release the song and it usually enteres in top 5 (or even debut at #1 [which a lot of songs do]. If they release the song straight away, the sales are going to be spread out quite evenly, hence the song might not reach a really high chart peak. Its not always like that, but often.

I don't get record companies. Why do they stagger the release dates over different iTunes stores instead of just releasing a song/album to iTunes stores all over the world at the same time? If they waited until February to release HIAM in the UK it would have surely lost several downloads to piracy now that it is already available all over the net.

If Britney had the music video, promo and airplay that Adele has, Britney would be #1. I appriciate Brit's bravery for releasing a song just for her UK fans that already know about the it. Fearless.

Adele's album will be big, but will her single? Even some of the maddest chart fanatics are now saying Britney will be #1 next week, and that Adele didn't stand a chance anyway. I always thought Aggro Santos would've gotten the #1 anyway. I'll be buying Brit's.
