That's not true... they had so many children and grandchildren and unless nobody steps up to lead the church after Fred Phelps dies (unlikely--Shirley is going to), it will keep going for generations. It's only growing, unfortunately. They will just have to come to their senses.
I'm waiting for one of them to be gay. The odds are in our favor because there are at least 100 of them in that family now. They'd probably never come out though.
Their children, well the younger ones at least were forced to do it by their parents. So I would hope they didn't keep that same mentality after they were gone, but I see what you're saying. Since ignorance never stops it only progresses.
