Oh come on. Being black and singing pop definitely gives her an advantage over the others because she can release pop tracks like "Only Girl" and have them be big on pop radio and then turn around and release Urban tracks simultaneously that pop radio stations will pick up because of her history there in the past. Obviously not ALL of her music is urban enough to cross over, but being black definitely helps when it comes to other types of records and overall AI. If Rihanna was white "What's My Name", "Rude Boy", "Umbrella", all of her BIGGEST hits; wouldn't get played on any urban formats, and wouldn't have had half of the success, ai, or audience that they did, regardless of how Urban sounding the song itself is. It definitely gives her an advantage over those like Katy Perry and Ke$ha who's song success is based SOLELY on the pop demographic. Which is also the reason that I never understood why people constantly compare the three when Rihanna is being played and supported by TWICE maybe three times as many radio stations as they are. Katy perry gaining ridiculous amounts of AI strictly off of one demographic is way more admirable and praise worthy than Rihanna gaining massive AI due to 3, in my opinion.
Take away all of Rihanna's singles that have crossed over and she's in the same boat as the rest of them.
Let's not act like if Katy Perry sang What's My Name it would still be spun on hip hop/r&b radio stations because it most certainly would not. And at the same time let's not act like if Monica sang it, it would get spun on pop radio.
Granted, being black gives you a disadvantage majority of the time but in this aspect I can definitely see where they're coming from.

1) Where are you going with this?
2) what you said was all so contradictory.
3) Dint I say that she is still getting more airplay on Pop radio alone than Britney spears with pop singles. Only Girl was released to Pop and its airplay was huge compared to how Ms Spears will do on the very same format. The advantage is not race is just who has better music.
4) You failed to mention other formats like Hot Ac and AC. Plus the Pop format is practically 3 times larger than urban and rhythmic put together.
