I never stated it was easy elsewhere. In the US her main competition is also Bruno Mars, his song has been out for weeks and has already sold over 2 million downloads. It's not surprising that Britney selling 3x more than him, I was merely stating that she has more direct competition in Ireland because both of their songs are new.

And it's bugging me since you seem to know a lot about chart stuff...
I don't know maybe you could give your honest opinion here about the success of the song ?
Are the stans responsible for all of its success ? Is it impressive ? What can we expect if it continues to chart well ?

Actually, if they both just released it makes perfect sense Britney got the lead. She's the bigger and established name after all. IMO the fact that 'Grenade' is already huge in the US could have made it harder for HIAM. But well, it's Britney, bitch.

Its initial success is primarily because of her strong fanbase, isn't that only logical? There's not many people that could open with huge numbers like she's doing on a global scale. The song shot straight to number one a day after it premièred, that's impressive. Most songs are delayed for a week or two to allow airplay to build up. Britney's gaining rapidly on radio. I'm not trying to downplay her success although I realise it may come across that way. The song has the potential to be her biggest hit since BOMT. I'm not personally surprised that Britney has managed to sell extremely well from the get-go, I'm more interested to see what its sales will be like in a month or two from now, and whether or not it will have longevity.

I think it's gonna be on the Bubbling Under chart this week. I don't think 15m is enough to enter the Hot 100 but it will be interesting if she debuts at #100.

Bruno released on Friday last week. The chart week ends tomorrow, if Britney's going to top the chart then she needs to sell a lot between now and then. She could hold off Adele and get to number 1 next week, but Rolling In The Deep is lining up to be one of the biggest hits of the year in the UK and Ireland.
