My local pop station airs a weekly new music cash where two new songs go head to head and are voted on by the listeners. The winning song continues for up to 5 weeks, when it is retired. Well, "Higher" retired last week, so they had two brand new songs this week: "Blow" by Ke$ha and "What the Hell"!!!
Unfortunately, "Blow" won, but it was EXTREMELY close. 56% to 44%. That's the closest I've ever heard it!
I remember a few years ago "Girlfriend" went all five weeks and retired. I listened to it on its retiree week when it was up against "Lip Gloss" by Lil Mama.

"When You're Gone" also lasted three weeks beating out "Bubbly," "Pictures of You," and "When Did Your Heart Go Missing." "The Way I Are" beat it. "Hot" beat out "Hero/Heroine," but was beat out by "Kiss Kiss." "Alice" was even put up against "Billionaire," but it lost.

That's the only time I ever heard them play "Alice."
