Excuse my dreadful English, it's not my native language. 
My definition of a Top Member is someone who we all can relate to, obviously like others said without not trying too hard. A Top Member must be someone with toughness, enough confidicene (so they won't have a breakdown as soon as someone insults/bashes him/her), fierceness, uniqueness, but also a Top Member must be mostly nice to everyone. A Top Member must have the strength to fight trough a battle and try to bring down other competitors. He/she must have made, or have the possiblity to make an impact on (in this situation) ATRL. (Everyone has their own way of doing it, one does it by being extremely nice, the other does it by the originality of its posts, the other by its extremely funny jokes and so fort and so fort.)
A Top Member also must be a leader, not a follower who randomly jumps on the bandwagon, or a sheep who follows another sheep.
I've seen a lot of people in the thread saying a Top Member shouldn't be someone who isn't nice, well that's a huge load of bull in my opinion. I don't think being nice to everyone is a necessity for being a Top Member. It's obvious if you don't like someone you have a right to express that, it also could create drama which would draw attention, and isn't that what a Top Member needs? I do however think A Top Member cannot cross the line with hating and bitching on people. Ya'all could dream further if you ever think you're gonna get attention by being nice and classy to everyone, that's boring and plain in my opinion, and a Top Member can't be boring and plain, he/she also must have a fun-side.
Last but not least, a Top Member must be someone who stands out other than the hundreds of members here, he/she needs to have an unique style of posting and also his/hers personality must be differently - something other ATRL'ers never encountered. Again, every human being has a different personality and everyone expresses it differently, but obviously a Top Member cannot, and I repeat, cannot be a pretender who only does this to earn the title ''Top Member'' on ATRL. That is despicable, weak and low. You need to stay your trueself cause in the end it's not ''you'' who won that title anyways.
