Don't take me wrong I'm a Britney stan but realistically I don't think there's much hype for this single outside of her fanbase. There's not as much hype as there was for Womanizer, that's for sure.

Debuting the song on iTunes? 400k and #1 without a doubt

You're wrong here. Since December EVERYONE has been buzzing for this song. There's no such thing as only the fanbase hyping new Britney Spears music. Everyone's watching and waiting. And don't mention the "comeback effect" because that's the only reason you're saying this.
250k is a little low as well. At minimum this song will do 300k. The song will be making it's first debut on iTunes. This is the ultimate tool for general listeners who will hear the track while driving to work listening to z100 & Kiis-FM. General music buyers will go directly to iTunes to see if the track is available. Most times, its not so they download illegally. However, the song WILL be available. This will be beneficial.

THIS. The hype on this song is colossal, bigger than Womanizer and Gimme More IMO

No she can't. She couldn't even pass 300k with her ~comeback~ single after a huge breakdown, being on the cover of every single magazine in the country, being talked about constantly in every single blog WW, the VMAs hype, no competition, etc. Stop lying to yourself.
The only reason 3 debuted at #1 is because they were smart enough to release it on a week when basically the whole top5 on BB Hot 100 was weak. This time there's Katy Perry's Firework and Mars' Grenade with monster airplay and sales (both sold around 400k this week), and on top of that Kanye West is releasing a single with Jay Z next week... after topping every "best albums of the year" list in December 2010.

Thanks for being an objective stan. It's hard to find those nowadays.
Anyway, I just heard the second demo and although it's to MY liking (more than the 1st), it still sounds a bit too generic. In fact, it sounds a bit anime-OP style. It remains to be seen how this will do. I think it'll do well, but I don't think it'll sell as well as her other singles.

"Womanizer" broke the female 1st-week digital record with the 286,000 copies it did. She was not on ever single magazine when the single was released to iTunes, and VMAs hype from what? A silly cameo with an unfunny actor?
Yes, "3" went #1 during a weak time in the charts. But I'm sure Jive did not plan that around that. Even 250k with absolute no promotion, video, or anything for that matter is impressive. Oh, Kanye & Jay-Z also are terrible digitally, no worries about them. Britney is a lot more friendly to iTunes customers. Unless the song is also friendly, which judging on his latest music it won't be.

No, most of the times they google "britney spears new single rapidshare" and find it, people don't spend money in songs they don't like, because they know they don't have to. iTunes sales come from people wanting to pay for the song because they hear it everywhere and love it, not from curiosity... That's why labels usually repress downloads for several weeks to let people hear the song everywhere, like it, and want to buy it. And surprise... it works.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens.
When was the last time a BIG artist did that?

Hard to pinpoint. Lots of artists release to iTunes quickly, while others repress. I don't remember any artist doing it at the same time of its radio debut.

I don't know if you just pulled that line out & not read the rest, but I said general music BUYERS would go search on iTunes for a reason. BUYERS, as in they buy music they like. If/when they hear the song and want it, they go to BUY it and it's already there. I even capitalized buyers/buy for you this time. There are people who only buy music.
