This song is brilliant because it's totally relevant to what's going on in today's pop scene but somehow FRESH and not recycled/redundant like all the other dance ish out there. This has the potential to spawn a series of clones/knock-offs the way that Just Dance and TiK ToK did.
People always say her recent first singles did not have longetivity, but they spent 10 weeks in the Top 10 each.
Then there's the fact that both songs went double platinum, one of them triple platinum. 3 has sold at least 8-9x more than it opened with (255K), Womanizer has sold very well over 10X what it opened with (286K).

But yes, all of her major singles have done extremely well. "Womanizer", "Circus", and "3". "If U Seek Amy" is even at 1.1 million which I find an achievement in its right.

If she drops the single tonight or tomorrow she has lost almost all hope of going #1 with this. She just needs to wait until she can get a full week of sales and airplay.

Exactly. Her singles have performed just fine, especially for the fact that she did not debut during the digital era. IUSA's sales are great for the underperformance it was.
If the single is great it will become her bestselling With performances it would be that much easier for the song to outsell Womanizer.

Hold It Against Me will hopefully be her first 4x platinum followed by her second single being her third 3x platinum. I want back to back number one singles frmo this era. Britney needs to perform.

The chorus on the demo is HEAVEN, I can only imagine it with Britney's voice on it
The arrangement of the song reminds me alot of "Shattered Glass". The only negative thing about the demo is it seems Dr. Luke is back to his recycling ways as the verses sound alot like Ke$ha's "Take It Off".
Pop Justice did say the final version is different so I'm happy about that. Can't wait to hear it!

She's no top-selling digital artist, but the sales are nothing to worry about.

THERE WILL BE NO ITUNES RELEASE FOR AT LEAST THE NEXT 2 WEEKS if the song is released today or tomorrow.
I can see why Jive is doing all that they can to get the single out ASAP. Just by doing a search of #HoldItAgainstMe on Twitter, a lot of people are saying, "OMG, #HoldItAgainstMe is amazing! Love it!" as if the demo is gonna' be it.

WRWWR went to #1 without promotion. It's not hard to do it anymore. 3 opened with 250k and that was enough for it to top the chart, Katy opened with 290k+ when she released CG but she missed out on the #1 spot. Luck often plays a part in deciding who's #1.
With performances it would be that much easier for the song to outsell Womanizer.
