She got 4 noms!! I think they were fair, RATED R wasn't a commerically successful album, how can you expect it to get nominated when other albums shined more than it. I'm sorry if i'm being blunt, but RATED R didn't deserve any, I mean yes critics praised the album, and it's epic but I mean it didn't do much, so I see why it didnt get nominated. My philosphy for an album to truly be snubbed at the Grammy's is " a #1 ALBUM, HUGE SALES, CRITICS LOVED IT..." RATED only had one of those!

Is anyone else kind of disappointed with WTC and the overall David Guetta/Rihanna collaboration? David Guetta usually produces records with a much more epic production. It's not bad, but WTC doesn't sound as HOUSE as most songs on One Love.

Rated R deserved some nominations. If Teenage Dream got a nomination, the album that had neither sales nor critics' love,I don't see why Rated R wouldn't.
Rude Boy and Hard didn't,DJ were so stupid not submitting Russian Roulette.

I disagree with you completely. Rated R was an epic album that came from someone who has been through an abusive and globally humiliating relationship. Rated R came from Rihanna's heart and yes the songs were written by people but the lyrics came from Rihanna's heart. When she sang Russian Roulette you felt the pain, you felt what she felt. Rated R was an album some artists wish they could produce. The production was amazing. It wasn't a perfect album but it was a fearless one. Not many artists today are willing to take risks musically. But Rihanna took a massive risk by releasing a sound that was fresh and vibrant. She tried something creative and new and I honestly think she should have gotten more nominations. Rated R had a story to tell, it wasn't just a bunch of autotuned songs or dance songs put together. It was her movie, her story, her OWN voice.
RATED R DESERVED THE SUCCESS LOUD IS HAVING AS WE SPEAK, though it didn't get this success, it will always be an epic album in the hearts of Rihanna's fans around the world.

Teenage Dream I think was just thrown in there, just to add some "controversy" maybe, but RATED R was pretty much forgottened too be honest, lets not be biased, but it was. DJ didn't even see the need for submitting anything, I see why. I mean KATY PERRY's had an HUGE YEAR though, so I mean Teenage Dream was a political decision i'm sure!
LOUD will get many noms, It will be one of the top albums of 2011!

I totally understand your standpoint, but The Grammy's can't be biased, everyone goes through things, so the sympathy stuff wasn't going to help. Rated R is a great album, and will be a gem for all Rihanna Fans but Albums and Songs that get nominated are usually commerically successful songs and albums. Look at history, go back to 1993. Whitney Houston's Bodyguard, It was nominated in every HUGE Category and WON! It was what Rated R had, but more. It was successful commerically and had amazing songs!!! Rated R just needed the "success part" but it didn't. 2010 so many great albums came out and some that sold remarkably, and some that got nominated and wasn't necessarily better than Rated R, but it was more in the face and promoted more, so That's why it was nominated over Rated R! With LOUD it is both a commerical success and has soo many songs that are just amazing! Man Down, CKB and OG! Stuff like that is what GRAMMY's LOOK FOR!

My brain doesn't go back to 1993, it doesn't even go back past 2005. Anyways, the grammys and everyone else snubbed Rihanna. Rated R was a solid album and deserved soo much nominations. And also shame on Def Jam for not promoting this album right.
