The video got awards, the song spent multiple weeks at #1, multiple Grammys, countless covers, the denim shorts, white tank and red heels + that strut are legendary, the "Uh Oh Uh Oh" dance is iconic in it's own right, the finger lick, starting horn are instantly recognizable.... it's all perfect. It's lauded by critics like no other as well as by fans.

In all honesty, nothing can touch Baby One More Time.

Crazy In Love put up a good fight but it just isn't it. Critics, awards, weeks at #1; they mean nothing in iconic terms. It's all about impact and BOMT has lasted.

Going #1 does not make a song iconic. There are plenty of #1 songs that no one remembers. And where are the receipts for Britney's single going #1 in every country in the world. Considering there isn't even official charts in some countries I would love to know how that happened.
