YES Mariah and Madonna are legends but I don't think they get a huge impacts with those songs I don't even know them
maybe because I didn't born at that time but it doesn't matter when it's a classic and has a huge impact like 'Thiller' of MJ for example every generation knows it.

Madonna iconic single was 'Like A Virgin' unfurtunatly it wasn't her first and Mariah which I LOVE could have like a million #1s but I don't think ANY of her singles are ICONIC. (Except of 'Without You' but that's not even her song.)

People barely remember "Complicated" yes it's a good song but "Sk8r Boy" overshadows it.
Also CIL and Genie are way higher when it comes to impact and having Madonna and Mariah at the bottom of your list is just.

Actually, Beyonce sold more that year according to the receipts... she stopped promoting the album and moved on to the next DC album while Avril kept going with Let Go and it ended up selling a lot.

here they just add artist like Madonna or Mariah because of 'long careear' but why to add gaga is way to stupid just because she's huge now!
gaga could be included in the next 5 years list not now.
including gaga will also mean to include Katy Perry 'I Kissed A Girl' for example which I think wins over 'Just Dance'. soo all those newbies can and wait more years.
