In all seriousness, there is a Korean boy in my Biology class at school who want's to 'kill the weak ones'. He has our entire year divided into breeders and slaughter pigs.
Terrifying. Even more terrifying, he got into medical school

Even better, he asked me to prom then told me he would never get married because he is 'afraid of what he would do to a woman'.
I declined his offer, fearfully.

There are people in dark and high places who believe one or more of the following
1) the world is becoming overpopulated
2) the world doesn't have enough resources the support the (growing) number of people on it
3) there are plenty of people in this world who are waste
So they have developed several ways to decrease the number of people in world. Such as! Promotion of abortion! Homosexuality! Under the guise of women's rights and human rights! They really couldn't care less about your unborn children and homosexual lifestyle! As far as they're concerned, more abortions and more homosexual relationships equals less inhabitants of this planet for the future. They're also indulging in much more sinister methods of population reduction! That being mass murder and genocide! Some by way of artificial, man-made natural disasters, such as earthquakes and hurricanes! There is much advanced technology today that can manipulate weather, and to an extent, the earth itself to trigger these "un"natural disasters! Other methods of their mass murder scheme include the rabid distribution of the man-made fatal sexually transmitted disease known as HIV/AIDS, ethnic cleansing, and famine!
This has been a very brief intro into the world population control and depopulation agenda! I encourage each of you to do some research of your own and take a peak into what is really going on in the world around you!
Sleep well tonight!

Problems about current population:
1) Population Momentum: Our population has reached almost 7 billion. That means that if we continue to expanding at the same rate, or even a lower rate, the impact in the population will be higher when compared to increases of the past no matter what. Thus, in 50 years, when our population doubles ("the next doubling"), the resulted increase will have a greater absolute value than any other increase in the past, even if the rate has slowed down.
2) Ethical and cultural friction: People in various societies refuse to accept to reduce the number of offspring they produce for religious or cultural reasons. A good example is Christianity: the Bible stresses that the goal of humans is to reproduce successfully as many times as possible. Same goes for Islam and countless religions, which affect a great part of the global population. This hinders the efforts to reduce the rate of population expansion.
3) No carrying capacity for humans, as carrying capacity for humans is determined by food availability. Since we are able to produce our own food and increase our food output, unlike other animals, we are able to increase our population as long as food availability increases, almost indefinitely (until we reach our planet's ultimate limit).
SOME Possible Impacts of Population Expansion
1) Environmental Impact: Due to expansion of humans, resources are depleted, natural habitats are destroyed or polluted and biodiversity declines drastically. This affects the global food cycle dramatically.
2) Quality of Human Life: Humans are packed in urban areas. Freshwater and food per capita drops every year and waste is concentrated in areas where certain people live or in freshwater. The living standards drop consistently leading to the spread of vicious diseases such as Malaria or tuberculosis in developing countries.
3) Increased energy expenditure leads to depletion of natural resources and to the intensification of the phenomenon of global warming, which further affects biodiversity and the environment in general.
4) Economy: Markets such as the marine aquacultures are affected. The top trophic levels in US seas are already mostly extinct due to overconsumption and overexploitation of marines in the 50s-90s.
CONCLUSION: These impacts are already rather apparent, but will truly affect our societies in about 20 years approximately. If we do not limit our population by setting some limits in the number of offsprings, changing our cultural/religious views or encouraging the engagement of the masses in this process (by governments), the disaster will be indescribable. I'm pretty sure no one wants to go through a nightmare not only for us, but for the planet as a whole.

Students should be given the option to pray but not forced to do so, all faiths, or lack there of, should be respected including atheism.

Well I think not at all. Let religion stay private from public settings. What would happen if about 29 out of 30 students want to pray, and they do. That 1 student could be bullied and harassed in school because he or she didn't pray and could feel like an outcast.

Some religions require prayer or such things at particular times and that should be respected.
I went to school in the USA for several years and everyone was made to take the pledge of allegiance every morning, I didn't do it because I was not an American citizen. No-one made fun of me nor did I feel left out.

I forgot about the religious prayer times. I guess you shouldn't be in a public school if you want to be that religious.
I remember at lunch time in 4th grade, I was the only Christian sitting at my table. I prayed over my food, like I usually do. I was made fun of for it. At least I really wasn't bullied, but it hurt my feelings as a little grade schooler
