Hip Hop sales are usually frontloaded for some reason.

I hope B.o.B's next album experience some good numbers. His album did OK (469k and counting), but it could be more. He didn't have as much hype as Drake or Nicki. I think that could change with next album considering the hits he had this era and the fact that he collaborated with some notable big names.

B.o.B did well compared to all the other new male acts this year (not counting Drake, who had a ton of hype). Unlike Derulo, Posner, Cruz, etc, his album will actually scan gold. I think he'll be around for a while. I hope so anyway, he's a great rapper.

Sad that Don't Let Me Fall didn't get attention as a single. Next time around he needs to release more urban singles.

Eminem's Recovery this week becomes the first album to sell 3 million copies in 2010. This is the earliest in the year that an album has topped 3 million in year-to-date sales since 2006, when the first High School Musical album hit that plateau in the week ending Sept. 3. Josh Groban's Noel was the only album to top the 3 million mark in 2007. It reached that plateau in the week ending Dec. 23. In 2008, no album reached 3 million. Taylor Swift's Fearless was the first to top the 3 million mark in 2009. It rang the bell in the week ending Dec. 27. This is a little bit of good news for the beleaguered music industry.

Something like 70% of the 150k was digital. People still had their gift cards in early January. She'll get a huge boost around Xmas/New Year.

I don't see Cannibal selling remotely what Animal sold (didnt animal only sell like 800,000 copies anyway). Animal had Tik Tok backing it up, and she was getting a lot of hype around her album release time, which IMO explains the 150,000

Animal sold 1 million copies in the U.S.

I think she'll sell fine. It's only on its first single anyway - No one can judge how the sales will go in the future with new singles. She could flop horribly, or she could pick up and be a huge seller.

I think if she releases "Cannibal" and "The Harold Song" her sales will good.
