Fading is the best charting song worldwide, I think Def Jam are going to play it safe and release it as fourth single.

It's track #7 on the album, it doesn't have Avril or Nicki, it's not a ballad... of course it won't have initial sales. You can't judge single potential based on that, that'd be really stupid. Rihanna is getting too comfortable releasing all these safe songs, she needs something new that will make people go WTF! so that also non-fans will appreciate her. Man Down could be a career-defining hit that people will actually remember years from now. It's really good, really different and has universal appeal. She needs to take this risk and break some boundaries.

She broke enough boundaries and took many risks in Rated R but nobody applauded her for that. I'm glad that she's playing it safe now.

I vote for Cheers for the 3rd, S&M needs to be a single, but not the 3rd. The chorus is too similar to Only Girl. Release Cheers at the end of January and watch it smash the spring! Then release S&M at the end of April (HUGE summer song) , and Fading in August, as it's perfect for Autumn.

S&M is already being played on z100 and is already in the top 30 on US itunes and in high positions on itunes all over the world......my bet is on S&M but cheers could slay though......

MAN DOWN IS PURE EPICNESS but i don't think it will do well as a single

california king bed is her best song to date bu ti don't think the public or the world in that matter is feeling it...the itunes positions suggest this but i can be very wrong i hope i am...i love fading but i think california king would be a perfect single after S&M or cheers///nobody has ever heard rihanna used her vocal range and sing like she did in California king bed

"Cheers" would fizzle out too quickly imo, and i actually like the song....

"S and M" would do amazing however, and they'll realease it as a second single no matter what the results, which will be a smart decision....

But after that, they need to release Man Down. That song will light up the charts and put her in a new light to many, not to mention sh'll be breaking the raidio dance trend and creating her own niche that noone could touch.

And that's not even mentioning the EPICness that can come into existence with a Man Down video
