It differs for everyone, some people become established almost immediately whilst others take time.
It's a combination of quality and quantity of posts that enable you to become established, also the length of time you've been here helps.

No post count can define the relevancy/establishment of any member...
Just be yourself, keep close to your own opinion's/boundaries & you'll eventually be recognised by the general ATRL community. DON'T act a fool just to allure attention (see: Haus_of_Berry).... because you will fall and fail miserably.
It also helps to have a nice looking avatar.

If someone posts excessively in the main sections of this forum then they are going to be noticed, perhaps not for the right reasons but a high post count is enough for other members to know who you are; hence you've established yourself. Although, a lot of members with high post counts tend to post in the YTT section, which is largely irrelevant.

Of course. I mean look at Duca, Early & ...
I was actually thinking more on the lines of Erik, Patrick & Bobby. Rarely posting, they are now established members.

That's due to the high quality of their posts, they're a rare exception. Generally speaking a member is more likely to become established if they have a higher post count, people here place a lot of emphasis on quantity. That's why there's so many people that post excessively, they're posting simply because they want a higher post count.

10. I think you contribute a lot to this forum. You post a lot, but you're not a post-***** IMO. Your posts always add to the discussion at hand, you have a distinctive personality that enabled you to establish yourself long ago.

Quality > Quantiy
but if you post alot it doesn't mean that your posts aren't quality
( Is it only me that has seemed to notice that memebers are posting way more than what they use to? )

Point taken. I guess really didn't think of this:

Because, in my view, a truly established member is one who contributes and adds value to the forum, not posting for the sake of gaining a higher count of posts. True post *****s eventually fade into the cosmics as members tend to pick up on the habit and avoid such a member.

I'd say a 10. Some of the other 2009 members could learn a thing or two from you.

I will never be an established member because of my age and immaturity, but I have accepted it . Some of the girls (Hi.Def and Early) overshadowed be my posting thousands of posts per day. But hey, I can't help the post*****s.

It's not about how many posts you have, but how long you've been here.

It is relative, through the time I've been here I've seen many different members becoming "popular" on ATRL without having a lot of posts. So I don't think there's a certain quantity of posts to become popular.
I remember KT&T had around 500 or 600 posts and he standed out the crowd making very creative games and even winning an MC of ATRL members. I remember MusicTalker too, he had something about 1000 posts and he became very popular because of the many music threads and blogs he opened in the lounge section.
If I go back the time to find old members I can mention Jurred, with his only 3k posts he made a huge change on this site, he helped to the development of the "Your Top Ten" section. Or TC, he has only 2k posts and it's without a doubt the most important ATRL member.
On the other hand, there can be members with more than 5k or 10k posts and still not being very popular in here. That's usually the people who only comment on rankings, or vote in games, etc. I'm really bad at noticing it but I suppose there are some, haha.
