She may not have had as big a tour, or was such a big fashion icon, but she had a HUGE number one, Grammys, a successful tour, and a 6x platinum album.
|
But not really a big pop culture force. But yes, she did explode in her debut year.

Bad Romance ain't all that, the lyrics are corny as hell, the melody is hardly memorable and there is not one beat you get stuck in your head.

And i don't stan for them...i fact i like more song from Britney than Gaga.

That still deals with the difference in music time. Back then, Teen Pop was music. Everyone was trying to appeal to it, therefore making it universal for it's time.

Bad Romance is pop genius. In theory it should have flopped, I get what you are saying about the lyrics... If you were to look at them without hearing the song, then they're certainly questionable, but pop music is about how it all comes together. GaGa gets the balance right, Bad Romance is flawless.

As in, it was Rihanna's biggest success, just as The Fame/Monster could possibly be GaGa's biggest success as well.
I don't see GaGa going anywhere but down from here. She set the bar so high with her debut.
|
Going down does not necessarily mean flop

Yes, the delusion is impressive. Lady Gaga is today, very famous, but her songs are not up to par, you can't compare her recycled beats, melodies and lyrics to the organic sound of those Madonna songs.
|
Absolutely. Those were the standout records of a DECADE, I'd LOVE for someone to explain to me how pokerface or bad romance is one step above songs like Teenage Dream or Tik Tok

Yes. Every single one of them.
Stans of the lessors need to get over the fact that people have moved on from the flavor of the month and turned to the prime rib.

In cultural impact, "Poker Face" and "Bad Romance" are definitely ahead of those songs.
