He did quote me though

The quote didn't seem relevant to what he was saying. I'm assuming it was meant for Duca.

Oh I'm not talking about you, I quoted what you said because I agree with it.

The pressed's posts can be located above yours.

Rihanna has sold more albums WW and in The US and more singles WW and in the US. Has more #1 singles.

But Rihanna has been 5 years in the game while gaga has been 2 years and rihanna has released 4 albums while gaga has only 2.

Gaga will pass Rihanna's numbers yes. But still not yet

It's not just about the numbers and charts.

[Da beezness!]

Hell no.

I see now.

Poor Duca

[oid]

with all her massive promotions ( live tv performances, tours, being on blogs everyday, mags covers, etc) couldn't get her a #1 this year.
oh, and let's not forget that hype she made for each of her music videos and it still didn't work

Yeah, as far as worldwide stars go...well put it this way. Even my Grandparents know who Lady Gaga is, they have no idea who Rihanna is.

She has done in 2 years what it takes most people 10 years to achieve. She is a household name and not just among the young and music obsessed.

I cant at gaga breaking records, bring back music videos, becoming a fashion icon, winning grammys, becoming a international superstar, performing with legends, selling out major areans, and she was about to open for Michael Jackson's last tour...

WHO ELSE COULD DO THIS IN ONLY 2 YEAR???? ONLY GAGA........

[Cap10Planet]

Gaga is about to surpassed Rihanna in units in no time. Hasn't GaGa sold 5 million units in the US with just two releases while Rihanna has released like 57464767465 and sold only 5.5 million?

And no, I'm talking mainly about cultural impact. It seems that she has become a household name in a shorter period of time than most, if not, all pop stars today.

I'm sorry, I didn't catch Rihanna on Forbes..neither have I read about any Rihanna classes being taught or heard anything about her having 8 wax figures...

Rihanna is really successful, but let's be real....she has little to no pop culture influence.

It's not all about a #1, dear.

And her music video's didn't work?
She won 11 Video Music Awards in just 2 years.

5,149,795 units in the US alone.
(Not including the 119K from "The Remix".)

She is the perfect mesh of an old school rock star and a modern day popstar.

It hasn't been done before and it's causing a huge impact. She is cool enough to be loved by those who seek to avoid commercialism and pop enough to be gulped up by the mainstream media. Expect to see many attempts at imitations but the first is never really topped.

She is well on her way to being a fully fledged legend and already at icon status whatever her critics want to say, she is recognised the world over and hasn't been around for long at all. Of course all other pressed stans are going to say it is delusion but her impact can't really be denied, that in itself would be delusional.

I have no doubt in my mind that 30 years down the line people will be listening to Bad Romance, Poker Face and whatever other hits she will throw our way in much the same way as we listen to Vogue, Livin' on a Prayer and Billie Jean. She is not the 'next' anyone, she is Lady Gaga and she is here to stay.
