Of course I'm generalizing because that what Japan is gearing towards it's mainstream audience. But unlike the US, Japan is being experimental without using constraints. But it's working, obviously, with its people so I guess it's all fine.

But I can't disagree with you altogether. Japan has a higher class of music integrity which leads me to another topic........
