Anyway, Britney was blocked on radio because Clear Channel (a company that owns several of the biggest radio stations in the country including the big 2 KIIS in LA and Z100 in NY -- not sure if it still owns both because they have been selling stations here and there ever since) wanted to sponsor Britney's 2001 tour, "Dream Within A Dream Tour", but Britney/her team had already a sponsor for the tour and could not have another one, so they had to decline Clear Channel, in response, they banned Britney to be played on their stations lowering the radio support for that era...
