Well, commercial artists do not fare well there anyway unless you're someone like Outkast or Gnarls Barkley, so I seriously doubt "Rockstar 101" will be placed there. Regardless of that, I doubt that song even gets a nomination anywhere it's (re)placed.
There is nothing "alternative hip hop" about "Rockstar 101." Common, Mos Def, Q-Tip, Lupe Fiasco, etc. are what you call "alternative hip hop."
I think hes somewhat right about it being Urban and alternative. But RS101 is a pop-rock/r&b. It has elements of rock and r&B. Therefore Pop Collabo is best suited for it. I think they shouldnt even have submitted it. I cant believe they submitted that and not Russian Roulette. The only way she will get that nomination now is if Slash dies.

So much truth that it stands a good chance of not getting nom'd at all. That song straight sucks.

She should have sent Russian Roulette for Female Pop Vocal and Rude Boy for Female R&B Vocal...
Ke$ha's label dumb for submitting her "pop." I bet they don't move her.
What else would they send her to? Rap?
I'm still dying that they sent Tik Tok for Female Pop Vocal...
YLIMD should have been submitted to Female Pop Vocal, Take It Off should have been submitted to Dance Recording, and Tik Tok should just have been submitted to Song/Record of the Year.

Dance Recording and maybe Dance Album. I don't understand what her label was thinking. Her label should have done like GaGa's label and submit her to dance and maybe pop next year when she's a little more established.
She had a chance of maybe getting in the dance categories. She blew it.
I hope Only girl gets the best Dance nod. I think she will
Animal isn't considered a dance album by Billboard so I don't think it could have been submitted for Dance Album.
Dance Recording is the only dance category she fits into, and while Tik Tok could have been nominated, Take It Off is the safer song to go with.

I think they did fine submitting her for Pop Vocal Album. It isn't considered a dance album by Billboard so...
Take It Off definitely should have been submitted for Dance Recording though.
^ Her label didn't submit ANYTHING to Dance. They probably messed up her chances at nominations. I can't picture her in Pop Album with all the traditional stuff they like to nominate there. We'll see, though.

They have a separate category for traditional pop albums, I think.
BEP won Pop Vocal Album last year so Ke$ha has a chance... if very slim.

I mean, like artists such as James Taylor, Maroon 5 and the like. They were all placed in Pop Album. BEP is a bit more established and they are definitely more established with the Grammy voters.
I still don't know what Gaga's label was thinking not submitting Bad Romance to Dance Recording...
Dance in the Dark will likely not win.
Alejandro, Speechless, or hell, even Paparazzi (it was released as a single during the eligibility period), should have been submitted for Female Pop Vocal.
Fisrst of all, I agree with you guys. Ke$ha's label has been very stupid by sending her to pop categories... On the other hand, I'd really like to know where did you find the submision list to the grammys, i'm interested on seeing if Shakira is close to be nominated to something...
Waka Waka is really a great song, it should be nominated!!!
