400k wouldn't be out-selling Namie's last best album as that one opened with 600k.
Utada should be able to do 400k-500k first week or I'm screaming FLOP to the heavens!

I don't understand this "bomb" that everyone keeps referring to We all know it is going to sell well. The fact that you classify selling less than 400k in the first week is the biggest flaw in your argument.
You do understand sales since 2008 have not declined all that much right? Looking at the #1 album of the year and comparing it to a different years is NOT an accurate way to calculate the percentage drop of overall album sales.

They year is obviously not over and it IS possible that the #1 album will sell more, but it IS an accurate representation of how sales are declining. I doubt that w/e the #1 is selling will get close to what the #1 album of 2008 sold. Am I right?
