No from what I've read they didn't have to tolerate it. It was just something they didn't think about or loved doing it. In some cases they did consider and had sex with men but they felt as though the relationship could never work out because it was two men. Kinda.

No. But, unrelated: my dad divorced his first wife because she came out. If it weren't for Teh gay, he wouldn't have found my mom and I wouldn't exist--obviously, this was my destiny!

I'm not less sensitive... I'm just more blunt. Honestly, I don't think discovering his sexuality will be stressful or maddening. It should be liberating. That is, if he can accept it. And that's what we're here for.
