Eh. I think that, especially in straight married relationships, women tend to exact as much control as men. Men may have more financial power but they can't buy **** without the approval of their "CEO." So many men complain about their wives not allowing them to buy expensive toys and such.
I think in gay relationships that's less prevalent, if only because we don't tend to marry and it's more likely for the two people to be financially independent. So it's harder to pinpoint who is dominant in a gay relationship. Really because so much of that dominance comes from a certain skill or sociability that one person holds over the other.
