Well there's Indesign for typing, and I think they have an equivalent for Microsoft Office called iWork, or some **** like that. I've got like a million programs on here, but I only use like, the same 8.
You can just buy Microsoft Office for like $50-100 for Mac (I forgot the exact price). It's lovely. Way better than iWork.
