Living Single brought exactly what was expected 4 single ladies in the city with careers intact while having its own sense of flare.
Golden Girls shall never be second to Designing Women especially when half the time the scripts were lackluster (recycled) when it came to DW while GG brought it every episode.
Desperate Housewives is in a league of its own it flops occasionally (season 4 and 2) but it still stays to true to itself and gives the viewers what they want.

Not here for it!
Golden Girls is the funniest of the six, but the characters (with the sole exception of Dorothy) NEVER grew. There was no character progression, and they quickly became caricatures ...
... UNLIKE Designing Women. Just look at the character of Mary Jo - how in the course of seven seasons she evolved from a milquetoast mouse to a spirited independent woman who frequently voiced her opinions and stood for what she believed in? And why did she change - because of her relationship with Julia, who subsequently grew more tolerant in her beliefs.
A THING OF BEAUTY.
If I wanted to watch shows with stereotypes and writers who stopped trying (if they ever did), I'd support 90% of gay entertainment.
NOT HERE FOR THAT.
