Ke$ha only released one album and it almost has the numbers that Perry's debut has, Compare One of the Boys to Animal, not Teenage Dream .

Ke$ha, Animal, 10,340,000. Ke$ha's debut album was released in January 2010, making it the newest album on this list. Top songs: "TiK ToK" (5,028,000), "Your Love Is My Drug" (2,157,000), "Blah Blah Blah" (featuring 3OH!3) (1,870,000).
And that was July 13th and she aint done yet

I love them both and I have no problem with Kesha being omitted and Katy being in but I simply don't see how - in 2010 and both of them having released albums - one is that much more viable for a spot

Sorry, but this is senile comparison. In your very source for One Of The Boys, it has sold 1.2 million albums in 2 years, while Animal has sold 1 million in 9 months. To be even more accurate, One of The Boys hadn't even sold 1 million almost a year within it's run, following "I Kissed A Girl" & "Hot N Cold" + going through November/December 2008 when sales are huge, while Animal has reached a million copies starting in January sales slump, and still not hitting any big stride sales moments yet. As for your worldwide total, same thing applies. Those are Katy's sells in 2 years, while Ke$ha in under a year. Oh, and also from your source:

About the singles, Ke$ha's definitely nothing to laugh, especially since the numbers aren't even significantly different (not even 800k). Her album & singles are selling at a consistent rate. "Tik Tok" is at 5 million due to it's huge success prior to the album, while her others have appropriate sales considering people are also buying her album. As a GaGa stan, you should understand this to some degree considering some of GaGa sales aren't that impressive (using your sense of hilarity at Ke$ha's sales; not what I think), yet TF/TFM have sold a hefty amount of albums. And to clarify, I'm just using the sense of album to single ratio, not how much either album sold against each other.
Not really taking sides here, because I love both of them dearly..just not enjoying your dumbing down of Ke$ha and putting Katy at some significant superiority when they are on the same level.
