Its because she had to do something for the commercial. The Pepsi NEX commercials all have an artist covering a song. Can't be helped. I'm sure she has 2-4 completely new songs done.

Utada and anyone would be fine as long as it was not up-tempo. The only exception would be if she got to sing in English. We all know she lets the inner ***** free when she sings in English

Their was this CNN interview I think Radio would love with Utada. The interviewer was EXTREMELY mean and kept drawing comparisons to Britney and Christina. And then Utada was like "oh no I'm not a diva, nobody really notices me in Japan".
