I have to agree that Taboo is just SO good it'd be hard to find something to match up to it. But considering your a Kana fan maybe you should go into Kumi's R&B as well as her cutesy stuff?
Kana is the only person I use for that overly cutesy stuff (I'm starting to dislike Taylor).
