Quality has nothing to do with success. "Only Girl" is getting FANTASTIC updates. The songs that are getting better AI updates are being played on multiple formats, while "Only Girl" only has airplay from pop and rhythmic. (Hot AC is starting to slowly pick it up as well.) "Like a G6" is the exception, but that's only because this week it's exploding on pop and rhythmic's "Daddy Stations," which are the top stations that give the most AI. Next "Like a G6" will be getting the same AI updates "Only Girl" is getting right now, which are still great updates. Unless another format picks up "Like a G6."
I can't stand all of these Rihanna stans thinking "Only Girl" has hit a brick wall! **** no. It couldn't be farther from it! Shut up and sit down and be happy it's getting the updates it's getting. It could be getting the same updates as "Rockstar 101" received, or it couldn't even be getting airplay at all. Be happy it has what it has and shut the hell up!
