That is the biggest advantage of going independent, she would have total control over her career. Right now she has to satisfy her label like every other artist.

I don't agree with what you are saying about radio and TV, they are still very important. The internet has become a new factor but it is not as dominant as you are suggesting it to be.

i didn't say interscope was bad or anything. yes they did a great job AFTER they discovered her potential thanks to internet ..

but gaga is an artist... record label have influence to your music and your marketing...

She's an artist but she makes commercial, pop music. She has a quirky, edgy image, but it's not like what she's doing is esoteric. She's very mainstream.

maybe because where i live gaga videos aren't even played on tv and she sells like crazy ( she) is the most search person here in italy)

You can tell it's the best by simply looking at chart performance of their artists - look at Gaga, Eminem, the BEP - their latest albums are best-sellers with not a single non-Top 10 hit. Four of the most downloaded songs of all time are by their artists etc.

Lady Gaga's career was more than perfect commercially, thanks to Interscope. Now look at Rihanna who is with Def Jam

And yes, I'm sure they give her freedom.
