I might be ass-kissing, but I also just don't think there's any reason to question TC. He's a very reasonable guy; he basically lets us do what we want. That includes making vile and offensive comments about others in NHB. But I understand why we shouldn't post open **** in here.

I don't have to run forums to know my ****, especially since I know other people who run forums and have encountered legal problems even when they weren't hosting or embedding links on their forum.

90% of the things posted in here can't even be considered "open ****", some people just went crazy with **** related gifs earlier because of the NSFW warning. We won't run into any problems simply posting nude images from Tumblr.

Look, it's all legal ********. I personally don't care one way or the other, except to make sure ATRL is protected. It's the same reason we have to worry about embedding and linking to copyrighted content and other nonsense like that (links to direct downloads are considered different than links to other pages which contain the downloads)... it's a mess.

Again, it is my understanding that links to external NSFW images with proper warnings is fine. If it turns out that it's not fine, then we'll have to stop that too. But I'm trying to give you as much freedom as I can and I'm not taking any **** for that.

By the way, about NHB, it has said this at the top of the thread for like 7 years:

No Holds Barred contains offensive, despicable content that is too controversial and sickening for a lot of people. The stark, ugly, profound truths that this thread exposes may be soul-crushing to the weak of spirit.

I think that's pretty clear.

I still don't see the point in trying to bait TC. It's not like he's racist. And if the mods had to disallow racist comments in No Holds Barred the thread would be run down by confused posters reporting other people for 'racist' comments that were not actually malicious. Not to mention, it would make the name of the thread a joke.

I think the idea is that they put enough faith in the posters here to hope that people won't act so terribly all the time. And for the most part, they don't. While there are some inter-cultural mixups involving people from civilly-backwards nations, I can't remember the last time somebody was openly racist on ATRL. And please don't say r0bz_, because we both know he is not even close.
