The bigger artists normally release things simultaneously here and in the US.
We get everything later, movies, albums, singles...
But then again you get all the amazing artists like Cheryl and Alexandra who no one in the US can find an easy way to support besides buying a physical single and getting it shipped 3000 miles.

For once the US gets something first though 
All those dance songs come out overseas first, so this makes things even.
