And Best Collaboration absolutely needs to be televised - not only is it an important category, but it's more fun to have 2 people accepting, assuming they both showed up.
It was televised in 2007, when Beyoncé & Shakira won for Beautiful Liar. But Shakira didn't go and Beyoncé was the one that accepted the award there.
I give this years VMAs a 6. Some worse, many better, overall nothing too memorable/exciting happened. The performances were decent and the awards were deserved, even though the same people kept winning. Hopefully we will get a better show next year, there needs to be more excitement/fun (ala 2009 VMAs)
The VMA suck this year! It was boring and the host wasn't that funny at all. Since Lady Gaga was the big winner, I felt like she should perform. I still think Ke$ha and Katy Perry should also perform then the VMA would been better. I didn't like some of the performance of this year because some people was lips syncing and some of them was just boring. Usher, Kanye West and Taylor Swift was the only three performance I actually love. Eminem and Rihanna was OK. This is one of the worst VMA show ever.
Florence's performance was weird and weak and I'm not here for that. Same for Robyn. Who in the God's name let those two perform? They are not VMA worthy performers nor artists.
The fact that you don't know who the **** Florence and Robyn are doesn't mean that they aren't artists. Artistically, Florence + The Machine delivered the best performance of the night.

I have no clue why GaGa didn't perform last night. She would have livened up the show 150%. A great Florence performance, a very short 20 second Robyn performance, and a very restricted Chelsea Handler does not a good show make.
I guess since Beyonce was not there, there was really no point in doing "Telephone". But an "Alejandro/Born This Way" medley would have been perfect.
a lot of predictable things happened, Eminem and Gaga winning practically everything, Kanye and Taylor referencing each other, Chelsea being hit or miss...
Usher, Eminem, Kanye and Florence were my favorite performances I think...but overall there have been better VMAs.

That wasn't true, she prooved to us that she doesn't need any electronic help on her voice to sing well.
Her perfomance was great, she looked really beautiful, I think i'm a fan of them now.
