I don't think Circus was a regression at all. Find me something that sounds like Womanizer, or Mannequin, or Mmm Papi, or Unusual You. The SONG "Circus", which many people call generic or "dated" or whatever is different from any other song I've personally ever heard, too. Yeah, it's super pop-y but she didn't regress with it.
IDK why Circus gets so much hate.

^Isn't it obvious? The typical fans always unhappy with everything, britney could give us the biggest masterpiece in the world, they would want more

It's not that I dislike Circus, but I felt the album as a whole didn't take any steps moving forward creatively or to a new sound/direction. I do feel that Unusual You and Mannequin were standouts because of how different and new the sounds were which made them unique.

I didn't say I was unhappy with the Circus album, because I enjoyed it very much. I would enjoy everything Britney puts out, but in terms of growth with each album, taking things to new heights and a different direction...I didn't see that with Circus. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate the good Pop album that Circus was...

Not gonna happen! She'll be too busy with more important things, like celebrating the birth of her youngest child.

Damn, you truly are annoying. You can't speak English, you are a post-***** and this has nothing to do with Britney. There's a VMA thread, you know.

Time to think outside the box and create something new. She did that with ITZ and Blackout and somewhat regressed with Circus.
|
She didn't REGRESS. It was the comeback to being America's sweetheart and Queen of Grace. She had to be fluffy pink pop because songs like Gimme More were not going to do the trick.

Exactly. She didn't change the world with Circus, but she didn't regress either.
