Despicable Me - 9/10
I don't why many people rank this very low, but I love it. It's not in par with Up or Toy Story, but it's still up there. The story is original, and the moral of the plot is heart-melting. Try to connect with the movie to like it. Plus the minions are really funny.
Nine Dead 8.5/10
The acting isn't very good. Sometimes it's very very bad, but the story line is great and gets you hooked. In fact, the movie seems like it could stem from a famous short story, it's so good. It stars Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina, the Teenage Witch), John Terry (Lost), Marc Macaulay (My Bloody Valentine 3D, Bad Boys, Premonition), and a few other no-namers. It was obviously an independent film. It's about nine people who are kidnapped by a masked stranger and are put in a room together. Every ten minutes, the killer comes in to shoot one person until they figure out why all nine of them are there. Their lives are all connected somehow. So, it's kind of similar to Saw V, just without the crazy tortures and Jigsaw. The ending kind of throws you for a loop. I would suggest you at least rent it and watch it once. It's pretty good 90 minute entertainment.
