It's another kind of sound, as music has several different sounds. Expanding on that, for example, Koda's feel (2006) sounds like it could have been another track on Monica's album The Boy is Mine (1998), yet the two are from totally different time periods. So, using the song I posted as an example here, if it was recorded in say 2006 or so or even this year, you wouldn't have been able to say "It's good but I don't like old songs that much," because the song wouldn't be old. But regardless of when the song was recorded, you would be able to say "It's good but I don't like that more traditional sound," which is the actual tea. It urks me to see folks say they're not fond of a song because it's old. Imo the song's age doesn't matter but the sound of the song does.
Just speaking about myself now, there are old songs that I def don't like but not because it's an old song, but because I just don't like the song, because there surely are some old songs that I do like, like Pat Benatar's Invinvible (1985).

How does that sound? (not the song, this reply)

I think you make a good point when you mention the "traditional sound". That is exactly what I was trying to imply. I wasn't trying to imply that just because a song is old, I will dislike it. For instance, I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this song
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L27KqRVZPwA It gives me so much life despite the fact it is old, and I don't even know the artist.
I will slightly disagree with your point on Koda Kumi's Feel. Many of the songs that incorporate old sounds also try to bring it into this decade and add a little bit of modernity. Though I can't say this for Koda's song because I have not actually heard it before

And for the record when I mention "old" songs. I am generally talking about the 80's and back
I think your arguement was well thought out and clearly put on the table rationally and without bias. You betta werq Radio
PS. Sorry I took forever to respond, I was on the phone.
