Katy actually "performed" or sang on stage in the past two years but she sang a cover of another song..(2008-Like A Virgin, 2009-We Will Rock You)...I don't know why she doesn't perform her own songs..

Katy is one of the biggest stars of this year!!! she totally deserve ti perfom at the big stage not like the past years.

Mtv made a BIG mistake with katy Perry & Ke$ha I Think that both deserves to perfom.

She DID perform at the Movie Awards. Very few artists performed at both the VMAs and te Movie Awards in the same year (though there ARE some examples).

So that's six artists out of how many performances in the past 18 years (since 1992)?? That still seems like it's the exception, not the rule nor anything that happens all too frequently.

Also, Jewel performed at both awards in 1997, so it's actually seven artists provided that we haven't omitted any others.

what an awful way to start a new decade I rememeber 10 years ago the 2000 VMA were epic and this year well... nothing interesting to see apart from Justin Bieber.

I don't want the VMAs to turn like the grammy's only to promote new unknow artists we want the best, most successful and overrated artists of the year.

why to bring more of those whatever artist, It's the VMAs pleasee!!!
