I find it hard to keep up with this thread sometimes, so I don't know if this has been discussed, but do you think her team is planning for a January or February 2011 release? Even though we were all hoping to get an album before Christmas, you gotta' believe that Dr. Luke interview. He wouldn't say that if it weren't true. So, if she did release it after Christmas, that would mean that we would be getting a single before the year's over because the Brit Promotion Pot is brewing and we all know it doesn't brew just for fun. If that is indeed the case, I predict a release shortly after her Glee episode airs because once that airs, she'll be on everyone's minds and it'll be prime opportunity to release a single.
I could be talkin' out of my ass here, but I was just thinking about it and had to come in and post.

I doubt Jive would allow her to release the new album in the 1st quarter. Releasing in January and February is a risky move in moving units. If we get a 2011 release, it won't be till spring (meaning new single in March and new album in early May). If we don't hear anything by the end of this month, then I am almost sure we'll be looking at a 2011 release.

Yeah agreed. But for some reason I feel this time around the single really will come as a surprise. Like either the announcement will be made one day before or their will be no announcement at all with the single premiering first.

She never needs help with success, hell she has been doing it for 11 years all by herself. And I don't see a problem with the Gaga collab, I just want it as an album track rather than a single, let alone lead single

But freakin' Ke$ha did it and sold what, 146K in her first week or something like that? I say Brit would be just fine releasing an album in the first quarter. Just think: She would rule the Billboard 200 (and others) for weeks, she could promote it at the Grammys (I die just thinking about that) and could re-release it in time for Christmas 2011. That would be golden in my eyes as we all know Brit's team loves a Christmas release.
