Albums sales are going down the drain. So the more music you release in less time, the better off you are. You can't afford to take three or four year breaks anymore unless you are garaunteed to be successful no matter what & you have an extremely established fanbase (see Sade).
I'm all for artists eventually just releasing EPs in less amount of time. Like 8-tracks for good-great album sellers & 4-5 for not-so-good ones (see Jason Derulo, Taio Cruz, Mike Posner, etc.)
I don't know if you were around when he first joined but he used to be ten times more optimistic, if that's even possible. He'd go into SYG trying to stop stan wars.
