we are talking about the single of the year 2010, I still say that hey soul sister, tik tok and need you now are 2009 singles, even if 2010 was the year of their success... Why isnt bad romance on that list? Coz it sold well from the begining? No. Coz its a 2009 single.

That doesn't make sense, the song of the year for 2010 should be based strictly on the success of that said song WITHIN 2010. Thus, TiK Tok's success in 09 is null and void, and HSS is the current winner.

I would even go as far to say that in the US at least, HSS has had greater cultural impact than TT. You don't see TT getting played in every effing commercial out there.

And this is coming from a person who strongly prefers TT.

Song of The Year starts from the 2nd week of December, so "Tik Tok" has a heavy lead + it's 2010 longevity, if we're talking Hot 100...which would be the most reasonable way including ALL aspects. Digital Songs, obviously the highest selling song is the best there..Train. Airplay, I'm not sure.

2) "Tik Tok" was #1 for 9 weeks at the beginning of 2010.

They both came out in 2009! Tik Tok was very successful in 2010 since it was the first #1 song of 2010 for 9 weeks.
