Ok, I'm sorry, but if Deadmau5 can perform, then so can Cascada. At least Cascada has had 2 big hits in the US. Did any of the MTV stations even play his video?

Also I heard somewhere that Nicki Minaj is performing. Someone confirm or deny so I don't have to look for it myself?

Deadmau5 might just be the house band that plays like 30 second segments after commercial breaks. I can't complain about that, usually the house bands are terrible.

Typical. ATRL doesn't want to see anything but the same divas every year. How is mainstream going to stay fresh if the people with power only choose to promote the artists that are already dominating? You guys want a monopoly.

Add a performance from Em & Rihanna, but leave Gaga and Britney out this year. Gaga just performed last year and Brit doesn't even have any new material out yet to promote.

I guess. I just find it hard to believe that the most nominated, most talked about person who will be there isn't performing. I know she has nothing to promote, but why couldn't they use this one time to give us the "Telephone" duet live performance.

I totally agree with you. Never heard of Deadmau5, at least Cascada has been relatively successful in the States and even more worldwide. And as far as I know Nicki is only presenting.

Yep, Deadmau5 is only gonna be the house DJ this year, no a confirmed performer. Dunno why people are getting their panties in a bunch about this one, especially since the original announcement made it very obvious that was it...

It's been a while since they had a DJ/dance music artist do that, though. The last one I can think of was Moby back in 1999.

That was a fail on CNN's part announcing last year's performance list.

I actually love the performers list right now. No typical artists. Of course, I look forward to the announcement of a few high-profiled performances, but never know at this point. They haven't had as many performers the last couple years.
