Apparently my parents went to see the Beyonce Experience & they weren't impressed so when they invited me & my sis down to '09 Essence they didn't tell us that they didn't get tickets to her show so I missed her a-****ing-gain. Instead we went to the second concert & had to sit through Anita Baker. We all fell asleep.
And then just as the best person was about to come out, Maxwell, we left mid-"This Woman's Work." I hate my parents.
I keep forgetting you haven't been a stan since 1998 like the rest of us.
I watched all the TV shows/interviews, went to the Ladies First Tour (I remember the guy out front was selling "Ladys First" t-shirts ) & I was at the ATL Destiny Fulfilled show. I watched Carmen & Goldmember for her. I was always a stan at heart but my older sis was the DC stan.

What does DC have to do with stanning for Beyonce? I'm not here for them. Night.
Beyonce not only was a part of DC, she was DC and that is a major part of her career, especially since thats when she wrote a whole lot. Not knowing DC albums is like not knowing half of Beys discography, ESPECIALLY TWOTW which is still better than any album she has released solo or with DC.

I know that, but DC really doesn't interest me greatly in that regard; I'd rather look at the growth between her own albums. That's not to say that DC isn't essential but I don't see knowing the ins-&-outs of them as completely necessary. I won't deny that part of her career & it's not like I'm completely oblivious to them considering I grew up on a DC-Janet-Usher household.
but I'm only 14 so don't expect to hear anytime soon!
