The Hot 100 formula was a mess back then. Too much emphasis was put on airplay (which were easily skewed with payola) and not enough on sales. The digital era is such a blessing, for we now are able to see higher charting singles from Britney.

There is one posted monthly by Billboard. But it's a big fat FAIL, considering it doesn't cover anything more than 15% of the radio stations of the country, and is basically only radio airplay, since digital sales have yet to be born here.

Seriously though, she's got some huge shoes to fill since there is massive hype over this next era. I expect big things. I expect something as massive as "3." Everyone's literally on the edge of their seat grasping on anything Britney. I just feel a bit worried for her because this next single/era has to meet the expectations of that hype. I'm sure she will, but damn that's a lot of pressure.
Never really been a big britney fan (her music stopped appealing to me around the 2nd album), but I love "3" and am hoping that she'll keep in that direction.

And "Radar" helped her achieve a personal record for most Hot 100 entries from an album.
