She became a legend because she did groundbreaking stuff... ya know, Control, RN1814, The Velvet Rope. Stunning and perfectly orchestrated choreography in music videos (at the same time as MJ). She let her sexy side out, but she maintained her willingness to help others throughout her career, and she is accepting of everyone. She marched to the beat of her own drum, both figuratively and literally; she doesn't have a reputation for pirating styles of music, fashion or performing (and that is not shade). It would take a long time for me to explain why Janet is a legend.

Britney just left an unprecedented mark on pop culture. She is pretty much a legend. Nobody is synonymous with "pop icon" quite like Britney Spears. She is a once-in-a-generation kind of girl.

Tbh Beyonce definitely has potential to be ONE of the greats but she still has Years to go until that can actually be proven. Her one major flaw comes from her inability to come out of her comfort zone and deliver actual DEPTH and SUBSTANCE with her material. . . .Everything always comes off as too contrived or safe, Even on her ballads.

She is still somewhat stagnant and she has to work on that in order to reach on that level. Most of the Icons/Legends we have today either have a Rawness to their music [MJ], A strong Persona [Madonna] or the ability to push boundaries [Madonna/MJ/Janet] and she lacks all 3. .

That's true. Madonna has almost always been successful, clearly ******** on Janet these days, and I still love her nearly as much as I love Jan.
