The stuff from "My Prerogative" did OK and the album sold around 6 million.

"Someday" was released later which is one of her best songs.
"Blackout" gave us one of her catchiest singles and the "it's Britney, bitch!" line and was amazingly accepted by critics and cited as one of the best and most influential albums of the last decade.
"Circus" era is legendary and "3" opened up at #1, which is far from a downhill, honey.

"Circus" has so much potential. "Out From Under", "Kill The Lights" and "Unusual You" should have all been singles, they all had potential to be at least top 20 hits in the US and even bigger worldwide.

"Britney" and "In The Zone" are one of those albums on which every track would make a great single.

Her best albums IMO.

Having her never injured her knee, she probably would have pushed this success further...

I honestly think she wouldn't have even married to Kevin if she wasn't forced to take a break...

She injured her knee, then she had to stay months without working, she got lazy, married, had kids, etc...

I know Britney doesn't regret it (marrying) cause it gave her the kids and I'm happy for her...

But honestly, I think her career lost the amazing path it was on when Outrageous was left unfinished...

And yes, I agree, I doubt the marriage with Kevin would ever happen and the whole breakdown would never happen too.
Still, she's gotten more mature, stronger and she is happy and blessed with kids and has become one of the biggest artists in music at such young age, already being able to sell only on her name, without any promo, after 10 years in the game.

She became a legend of the fall, living legend and the queen of pop.

A career or every artist has ups and downs and some happen sooner and some later, but they do happen.

As long as she's happy and keeps on giving us great music, I'm fine with it.

But most demos we don't know what era they were for, some may leak 3-4 years after they were recorded.

Is there not legal issues with unreleased collections because of song rights or something like that. I doubt Jive would do it.

I miss the days of getting an unreleased track as a B-Side on her singles....

well all those songs are the Original Doll recordings with the exception of Sugarfall which is a blackout recording. SO you have it pretty right.
