IF "Gimme Dat" is another moderate hit like "Ride" is, she'd still have time to at LEAST send another record to radio right before the album dropped, right? I mean, this new release date has opened a door for Ciara if ANYTHING. It gives her time to see what the reception of "Gimme Dat" is going to be, and it gives her a chance to act accordingly beforehand. Has the song been officially released or anything?
Of course, my opinion.....I'd love to hear another song or two...preferably something better.
So Gimmie Dat isnt the next single after all!! I was thinking so because Billboard said it was put out only for buzz! I wondered why but I will trust in what you guys tell me now So now it will be only be like what You Got Me was! Hopefully that means we will get a video for it

I don't like "Gimme Dat" at all. I LOVE "Ride" though (smashing on my year ending countdown iof I do one)..but I'll wait on the third single.
Nice performances from her as well, hopefully she gets her ass off of Ustream and goes on a promo tour or something...she got the time on her hands since that pushback has been confirmed.

I feel you A-baby. The problem with "gimme dat," like "work," is that it has no discernible melody/chorus. Look at Ciara's biggest hits - Goodies, 1,2 Step, Oh, Promise, even Never Ever/LSM/Ride. They all at least have some sort of melody.
Gimmie Dat has great melody!!! Well it does to me and it is very catchy like all her other singles! If it really becomes a single it would def be a Top 15 smash!!
IMO with The beyond great reviews from MTV, Billboard and others , they should at least release to radio .They could see how AI updates and if its good enough make it a real single.

work on teh other hand would have been a great choice it had a big chorus that hooked ppl immediately

the way things are looking they do not have time to test nething
if they wanted to test they sumthing it should have been sent weeks ago

Gimmie Dat choreo is hot! I love it That was my favorite of them all and Ride and Psg!! And yeah they should give it a chance and make the next single and see how things work! Billboard said it was only a buzz song but maybe they said that because it didn't have an adds date yet!

they might have already gave it a chance by seeing how it did from july til now
maybe if it h good airplay they would of went with it but it has been shaky so they might second guess it
hopefully they will release sumthing else instead i think get it girl would be better
