No... Because I've never personally experienced any crime or murder and I have never felt unsafe in or out of the city. I don't actually live in the city, I live in the suburbs. If you look at what Deuces and I posted, Chicago & IL are safer than AL (and Birmingham, but I don't think you live there).

How is the school systems in your cities?
Not the best but not the worst we have Northside Prep for rich white kids, Whitney M Young Magnet High School which is very diverse, and Walter Payton College Prep. And University of Chicago which is Ivy League I believe. Also Northwestern University isn't to far.

Our school system is excellent in my opinion. They give us the best courses, and the teachers are extremely educated. Teachers here really care about your education, and try their best to make sure you succeed once you finish High School. I've heard so many horror stories about school systems around the US though.
To be frank, it's a city full of black people.
But seriously, the school system is failing (the graduation rate is 25%), there's no jobs here and we just got rid or a corrupt mayor like a year ago.
